Economy is in shambles but 200K for Obamas 2005 300C?

It would seem that the economy isn’t in as rough shape as everyone would like to believe if a 2005 Chrysler 300C can have a current bid on Ebay of over $200,000.00. I know this isn’t exactly news worthy, but I am actually curious to see how far this thing goes up before the auction is over. Ebay has listed other “celebmobiles” in the past and had pretty solid results.
Kelly Blue Book currently lists the blue book value on this car as just over $18,000 for retail, excellent condition price. Surprisingly, the individual auctioning the car off purchased it at his local IL dealership for a normal price for that car, with a message from the salesman that he should “hold onto this one” and see what happens.
I don’t know about you but I’m not really a big fan of this car, and I could care less who drive it before I would never pay that kind of money for it, but there are obviously those who will. I say good luck to the seller and happy bidding to anyone interested in owning a piece of “history” and I also wonder what kind of slightly used Obama memorabilia you will see popping up down the road.
